Over the last few months we’ve seen Jay-Z with his now trademark nappy fro, which was a sign that he was recording an album, more specifically the hightly anticipated joint record “Watch The Throne” with Kanye West. Now that he’s cut his hair, we know the album is done and about to hit the streets.
Scheduled to drop on July 4th, can the secret to Jay-Z and Kanye’s sound lie in the hair follicles of the god emcee, the Jay Hova?
We’ve tracked down all the known places Jay-Z has been since Kanye announced “Watch The Throne” was dropping on New Years Eve in Las Vegas. From our investigation, we believe Shawn Carter’s last haircut was some time before Nov 17th. Since then, we’ve seen Jay-Z’s fresh line become fuzzy, we’ve seen his 360 waves become curls, and then finally straight up kinky naps.
But it’s long hair, don’t care for our hero who continues to comb through gee.
So as we track Jay-Z’s whereabouts, we’ll see what he’s been influenced by and maybe get a glimpse of what’s to be expected when “Watch The Throne” drops July 4th.
