Eddie Stanley, 15, from Schenectady, NY was shot and killed early Sunday morning when police found his body riddled with gunshot wounds to the chest.

Reported By Your News Now:

“He might be gone, but he will never be forgotten by us. We love you Eddie,” said Ebony Lawrence, a cousin of Stanley.

Eddie Stanley, 15, was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Schenectady.

“Once my cousin confirmed that he’d been shot, I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it,” said Eric Gentry, a cousin of Stanley.

Police say they responded to Bridge Street around 2 a.m. to find Stanley with at least two gunshot wounds to his chest and torso. He was transported to Ellis Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“It’s just like really something hard to wake up to in the morning. Unexpected,” friend Sheron Mills said.

“I think he was at the wrong place at the wrong time,” Lawrence said.

“I was standing outside and I just see a lot commotion going on,” said Stanley’s girlfriend, Tyasis Hogan.

Hogan says a fight broke out and over 30 people poured out into the street. Next thing she knew, she was at the hospital and heard the news.

“He was a good kid. Funny. Loved basketball,” said Hogan.

Family and friends say Stanley had a promising future ahead of him.
