Emma Stone looks flawless as she shows off her slender frame in a red and white striped bikini on the August issue of Vanity Fair.

The “Superbad” actress opens up to the magazine about dropping out of high school, being rejected for roles and hitting rock bottom.

Before landing her breakout role in “Superbad,” Emma dropped out of high school and moved to Hollywood to pursue her dream of acting. Working part-time in a dog bakery, the 22-year-old “Easy A” star was quickly introduced to the cutthroat entertainment industry. Emma admits she hit rock bottom when Hayden Panettiere was picked over her for NBC’s “Heroes.”

“I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ‘You are our pick. On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11,” she told the mag. “I went home and just had this meltdown.”

But it wasn’t long before the full-fledged movie star got her breakout role in “Superbad.” She explains: “I did “Superbad” in what would’ve been my senior year. I was playing a senior, and had I graduated I would’ve missed that opportunity, and had I missed that opportunity I wouldn’t be here right now.”

With three films being released this summer alone, “Friends with Benefits,” “The Help,” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” Emma still struggles with the idea of fame and everything that comes with it. “Sometimes people recognize me,” she says “but they’re more like, ‘Oh, hey!’”

Emma is currently hard at work filming her upcoming flick, “The Amazing Spider-Man” where she plays Gwen Stacy. The film is set to hit theatres July 3, 2012.
