Kanye West and Jay-Z‘s “Watch The Throne” album will never come out!
I realized this while enjoying Kanye West put on for his city during the 2011 Essence Music Festival sponsored by Ford at the Superdome in Louisana. Halfway through his set, Yeezy asked for his DJ to cut the music and he bagan to pour out his heart.
The “Power” rapper than thanked his fans saying, “Thank y’all for still supporting me, even though the media try to lie to y’all every fucking day. The blog and shit. They wanna take the power away from anybody who will stand up for anything. Try to make y’all not believe what’s real.
I just want to thank y’all for standing by me and supporting and making the last album go platinum even when they told y’all my career over! For the motherfucking truth, I had a little bit to drink that night I won’t lie, but this is what I do right here on this stage for y’all, we just getting started.”
It was at this very moment I realized that “Watch The Throne” would not be coming out today, tomorrow, or any time soon. In fact I might even go as far as saying “Watch The Throne” will be the next “Detox.”
While I could spew off 100 reasons why we won’t be hearing Jay-Z and Kanye West lyrically spar over dope tracks filled with 808’s and high hats, I have decided to share my top 5 reasons why we won’t be hearing “Watch The Throne” anytime soon. Even though the previously reported release date is upon us now.

My first reason is quite obvious. Kanye West isn’t talking to the media. No matter how dope you are, no matter how important you may be, every single artist needs the media. Kanye’s hatred towards the media is so deep rooted it has got in the way of this album ever seeing the light of day.

My second reason is they are scared to release a truly black album. Jay-Z has been saying he was going to release an album with no promotion and just letting it do what it does. If any album could do that and be successful it would be this one. There were rumors that they were just going to drop it. No artwork, no promotion just put good music out there and let it float. I say they’re scared! These two huge egos could never live down an album that doesn’t sell.

My third reason is probably the most important one. Hova and Yeezy have set the bar way too high for themselves. These are the kings of music right now and if this album is not better than “Thriller,” it is a complete and utter failure. In my mind this album must be the greatest thing to ever hit an iPod, CD player, cassette deck, record player and so on.
The fourth reason is that Beyonce’s album just came out. Can you image dinner time at the Carter’s if Bey’s album is knocked off by “Watch The Throne”? You’ll hear Jigga man, why you treat me like animal!!!

The fifth reason this album will never come out is probably the name itself. “Watch The Throne.” We are watching and waiting and that is exactly what they want us to do. Jay-Z has cut his hair, they walked the streets of Soho with Bu and now we are waiting for the album. We are indeed watching the throne to see what our kings will do. I for one am going to call their bluff. While I hope to goodness I am wrong, until I hear it, “Watch The Throne” will never be released!
