Last night was an amazing night for a select few music journalists and two adoring fans.

The chosen few who were gathered in a quaint Mercer Hotel room in the trendy Soho neighborhood of New York City with Jay-Z, found themselves joyfully trapped in the making of history.

Jay-Z invited only a few lucky individuals to experience his process in making music and his finished product. Jay shared a total of eleven tracks with the small room who listened eagerly.

Not really wanting to do interviews, Jay kindly told the music journalists that the interviews could wait, but the music could not.

Our friends at Billboard were lucky enough to be in the presence of what seems to be the most highly anticipated album of the decade. With co-signs from Q-Tip and everyone who got to hear the magic to their ears, “Watch The Throne” may undoubtedly be the most talked about album since Biggie’s “Life After Death.”

So what did our friends at Billboard share about their history making night? Well, Jay-Z gladly shared 11 tracks, and three snippets of songs, one of which was produced by Swizz Beatz.

If that wasn’t enough, Jay-Z also shared that he had already completed two songs off his upcoming solo project. Not really giving too much information away, Jay didn’t spill the beans on when his album would drop. Surprisingly, Jay didn’t confirm an official release date of “Watch The Throne” like many of the fans had thought.

Slated for release on August 2nd, there’s no telling when “Watch The Throne” will actually hit store shelves. If you’re a die hard fan of Jay and Kanye, then we suggest you go online to pre-order the album.

After hearing all the inside details of “Watch The Throne’s” private listening session, GlobalGrind is super excited to see what Jay and Ye have in store.

Hopefully, it lives up to it’s hype, which we know it will.
