The new “Got Milk?” ads were released to the public this week and some people are not laughing!

Published by the California Milk Processor Board, the just released ads encouraged men to buy more milk for their wives and girlfriends because, the campaign says, milk will help reduce the symptoms of PMS.

Entitled “Everything I Do Is Wrong”  the ads show a frightened cartoon of a man holding several cartons of milk under a   headline that says, “I’m Sorry I Listened to What You Said and Not What You Meant.”

Although the ads are hysterical to some viewers, critics claim they are sexist because it makes use of the stereotype of the moody, irrational female. However, according to Steve James, executive director of the California Milk Processor Board, the campaign is a fun way to raise awareness of a real condition.

A recent study concluded that vitamin D and calcium could reduce PMS symptoms.
