People have excuses for every f*cked up thing they do. The insanity plea is a priceless cop-out in court, but the rap game is society’s most beloved scapegoat. We’ll chalk that one up to the game though.

And here we go again. Another case of “oops, rap music made me do it.”

Tyler Hadley, the teen who killed his parents before having a house party, is claiming that ecstasy and hip-hop lyrics are among the influences that led him to commit the senseless crime.

We know hip-hop artists like to party with the substances and most times, those forgettable memories can transcribe into some of our favorite tracks. Other times though, that sh*t doesn’t have to be true, it just sounds good.

Whether they’re pill poppin’ animals or not, chances are your fave rapper has spit a line about throwing back the skittles. Who did it better than the Notorious B.I.G. when he spat “Fuc*in You Tonight” “Some say the x, make the sex Spec-tacular, make me lick you from yo neck To yo back, then ya, shiverin, tounge deliverin Chills up that spine, that ass is mine.” All the ladies went crazy.

On “Empire State of Mind” Jay-Z told y’all the MDMA would bring out the champion in you, HOV barely even smokes ganja.

Gucci Mane claims to do it all, from weed to white. He embraced the pill in his track “Pillz,” a whole track dedicated to rolling. “Pop one, pop two, two halves that’s three.”

The lonely stoner has caught charges for more than just herb. Known to enjoy a spacely high, Kid Cudi salutes the ecstasy-effect in “Rollin’.” “Ten Pack of pills, half way gone, I’m about to (Throw-Up), Throwin up, its all good that just kick my buzz in.”

Eminem openly admitted his perils with drugs and pills, almost losing his life to abuse. In his song “Drug Ballad” Em airs out his feelings about the substances. “As ecstasy got me standing next to you, Getting sentimental as f*ck spillin’ guts to you”

The Game couldn’t have made it any more blatant. His track “Ecstasy”… has no need for words. “I’m off this ecstacy and this hennesy got me going (going) I’m soo high.”

When 50 Cent hit the scene with “In Da Club” we probably didn’t peep his peace offering in the chorus. “Look mami I got the X if you into taking drugs.”

We’re not sure how Rick Ross‘ former employer feels about his track “Pill Poppin,” but it fits well with our post. “I’m a pill poppin animal, syrup sippin, im so high you could’nt reach me with a f*ckin antenna.”

Three 6 Mafia had to grace our list somewhere down the line with “Rollin,” one of their many drug dedications. They name all the “skittles” for us. “I ain’t gon’ lie this head that hit it, Cause when you do X you’ll run up in it.”
