As we hit yet another weekend in the summer of 2K11, our thoughts drift to Amy Winehouse and her untimely passing. Her style was very unique and yet haunting. Her voice was like Martha Reeves from Martha and The Vandellas. It was so sexy, sad and yet so full powerful, that it could never be replaced. No one is perfect.

I’ve been around the biggest artists and you’d be surprised just how normal they really are. Amy wasn’t normal. She was special. In case you missed it, peep this track Round Midnight that leaked a while back. It features hit producer Salaam Remi on the beat. R.I.P Amy…..

Have respect for 50 Cent‘s jux. When he’s gearing up to release an album, he has many tactics to let everybody knows he’s on the way. You just better hope you’re not one of those tactics. He’s turning up the pressure again with this week’s leak of I’m On It.

Leave it to Fif to thug out a beat by The Cataracs and the shit is crazy. Talking smack in a way only he could do, you will definitely hear this track getting burn from Hollywood to Soho.

Seems like The Games The R.E.D. album has been talked about for almost a year now. A few street singles have floated around so far this year, but this week’s leak of InfraRed seems to be definitive. Cool and Dre are the chairmen of the boards on this crazy dope track.

This is The Game at his finest, ripping through verses with his patented slobb’d out flow talking extra duty greasy. Hip- hop has taken a break from ‘the dancing and the dougie,’ at least for now. And it’s back to the skills as “InfraRed” demonstrates.

Nas did a record with Keyshia Cole More Than I Can Say a few years back that never saw the light of day until this week. The record is a rare gem that is unmixed, unmastered and very raw, like it was taken straight from a session. This only adds to the flavor. If they polish this up and officially release it, “More Than I Can Say” could become more than we bargained for.

Frank Ocean is murdering the game with his R&B smash “Novacane.” It’s fitting he would follow up with another dope leak that would further show his talents. Wait no further … introducing Thinking About You. If R&B music was sold at every department store, Frankie O’s music would be only found in boutiques. It’s special and different from what Drake, Chris Brown and Tre are doing. Frank has his own lane. And he’s in that lane stuck with a bunch of ladies creating a traffic jam. Best way to be. Peep…
