Yesterday after a tweet came out from Jay-Z‘s account saying “201 Mulberry Street NYC,” all of NYC went into a frenzy. It turns out he, or whoever tweets from his name, was giving out the address of an event space in downtown NYC where a Watch The Throne pop-up store was about to open.

Last night, August 12, the downtown NYC location hosted Jay-Z himself where he showed up with rapper and super producer Swizz Beatz and longtime Jay-Z hypeman, Memphis Bleek.

Before they showed up a little before 10pm, Just Blaze had the crowd of about 100-or-so people jammin’ in anticipation that hopefully Jay would in fact show up.

The crowd was in luck because he indeed did show up and spent the night just hanging out and enjoying himself. Damn! How lucky are they?

Inside the studio space was the now infamous pimped-out Maybach from the “Otis” video, which is up for auction with proceeds to be donated to the East African famine as of late. The space also featured the “Otis” video on constant play and the album artwork plastered on the white walls. Nice!
