Anders Breivik, the Norwegian massacre gunman who killed 69 people in a horrific act of terrorism, returned to the scene of the crime on Saturday to reconstruct his twisted strategy for police.

Wearing a bulletproof vest to guard against revenge attacks and secured to a rope and harness like an animal, he demonstrated how he chose to shoot off each terrified victim as they attempted to swim to freedom.

The 32-year-old killer was proud of his cruel rampage and did not show one ounce of remorse as officers gathered video evidence from the scene for over eight hours.

Breivik attempted to recall each shot fired with his semi-automatic Ruger Mini 14 rifle, even raising his arms in a firing position to simulate the horrific event. Anders believed the massacre was necessary to save Norway from Muslim immigration.

Breivik admits the killings, but denies any criminal guilt. The intense security operation called for a dozen police on foot and a police helicopter hovering overhead.

He was able to recall every shot and every person killed, as they passed the Utoya clubhouse and went up a hill into a wooded area where most of his victims had been camping.

If he is convicted on terrorism charges, Breivik faces up to 21 years in prison, but could be caged indefinitely for as long as he is considered dangerous.
