Rush Limbaugh, the conservative radio host, is at it again and this time talking about something he knows all too well about, food and race.

During his radio show he revealed that Kraft foods will introduce a new Oreo cookie, the Triple Double, made with vanilla and chocolate cream. Making the racial leap Rush quickly named the new cookie the “Or-Bam-eo.”
According to Rush “It’s actually a biracial cookie. You’ve got three of the chocolate wafers, and then you’ve got the white vanilla cream — the cream — and then there’s a chocolate cream … You wait, it isn’t going to be long before it’s called the Or-Bam-eo.

So there you have it, Rush Limbaugh has demoted the President of the United States down to an Oreo cookie. Analyzing his comments for a moment it’s so obvious Rush has race on the brain, to make such a jump from “it’s a biracial cookie” to the “Or-Bam-eo” is ridiculous.
Some may chalk it up to Rush making humorous banter, but the joke itself wasn’t even funny, what does Obama have to do with a cookie?

Speech like Rush’s has become too acceptable in society, it’s an underlining racism that gets spouted out every day that gets swept under the rug as radio commentary. It’s the same thing with Radio host Don Imus and his comments towards the Rutgers Women’s basketball team, referring to them as “Nappy headed hoes.” It’s blatant racism disguised as humor.
Back when, then Senator Obama was running for President, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid came under fire after he made comments regarding Obama’s race and speaking ability. Reid said that Obama, as a Black candidate, could be successful thanks, in part, to his “light-skinned” and speaking patterns “with no Negro dialect.” Reid has since apologized for his remarks and the matter has been squashed. What’s a “Negro dialect,” who says that?
Obama’s “Black side” is always in the crosshairs, it’s never the white side that gets hit, that wouldn’t be acceptable either. It’s just that no ever says “the white man Obama is ruining this country.” It seems as though Obama is a white man stuck in a black man’s body.

A few weeks back when Congressional leaders debated over America’s debt ceiling, Colorado Rep. Doug Lamborn likened compromising with President Obama to “touching a tar baby” on a talk radio show. Lamborn came under fire for his comments and later apologized for his remarks.
But what makes Obama white? Because of his speaking patterns or he doesn’t articulate himself like Gucci Mane?
At the end of the day, race will continue to be the defining element in Barack’s Presidency, Rush Limbaugh will make another stupid ass comment and someone will inadvertently or deliberately make a racial remark about Obama.
