Converse and MTV2 have presented us with a show for hip-hop fans and basketball fans to mingle about.
It’s called Band of Ballers and it is a celebrity 3-on-3 basketball tournament that includes our favorite names in hip-hop and music.
It has gotten pretty competitive as Jim Jones and his team are trying to make it three in a row, but the other teams won’t let that happen.
Wiz Khalifa, DJ’s Matt and Kim, Chiddy Bang, and many others, will all assemble teams to rival each other.
Jones talked about the event and said:
“Hip-Hop was built on the competitive spirit of basketball, the aggressive nature of the game is what comes out in rap and…to be honest, I don’t see any team here that is ready for what we’re bringing.”
The event launced in 2009 and has been a hit ever since and now it is coming to your television.
It hits your screen on August 21st at 1:30 PM and if you catch that showing, you will here DJ’s Matt and Kim’s new song featuring Soulja Boy.
