Good Saturday Morning to you live from impact zone of Hurricane Irene. To say today is gonna be a breeze is putting it mildly. The show must go on though.
Hurricane Irene is twisting up the east coast but earlier this week, Hurricane Weezy hit unexpectedly with tropical storm Drake nationwide in the form of ‘It’s Good’

For the record, the song itself is dope. Jadakiss opens the track with a classic 16 bar clip. Drake does his best “Kanye paying homage is his big brother, Jay Z role” playing a weird Lil Wayne alter ego for his verse.

But then Weezy steps up … he gets back at Hov for his line on “H.A.M.” when Jay says he’s really half a billi and ‘niggas ain’t got my lady money.’ Guess Weeze took it personal.

For his part, Jada immediately shot out a disclaimer distancing himself from this subliminal shadow boxing. Will Jay respond? Do we care? Stay tuned….

It’s been a minute since we heard from Queen of HipHop & R&B Soul Mary J Blige. One could argue she’s been letting this next generation of R&B divas eat.

But when the queen shows up with new music you know an album isn’t far. The track “25/8″ leaked this week and it lit up radio in Gotham City. Eric Hudson is the composer behind this great piece of art. This record is another “Be Without You” themed track for the grown and sexy, guaranteed to please Mary’s fans and inspire those couples who may need Viagra in their relationship.

Check out the track here.

A Mafia continues to heat the streets of New York up. His mixtape “My Side of The Story” hit the blogosphere last week with crazy media attention. What people thought was an earthquake earlier this week was actually his new single “Top Down” smashing the airwaves and Internet.

Mafia has platinum wordplay and punchlines that will bully any fake wack rapper into submission. The ring ain’t big enough but for one champion. The champs here for his spot back!

From Harlem to Houston on this next one. Killa Kyleon dropped Let The Bodies Hit The Floor” which features P-Town’s most trill Bun B. If you don’t know by now Killa Kyleon has been re-setting trends in the Houston music scene for a minute now.

This Lex Lugar produced track is that wood grain candy paint inspired theme music that H-Town is infamous for. Shout to Rapid Ric as he is host for Kyleon’s upcoming mixtape Candy Paint N Texas Plates 2. Peep…

For my peoples who really miss Little Brother, a treat was unleashed this week when a new track featuring Phonte and Elzhi ‘Not Here Anymore’ surfaced. 9th Wonder laces this track crazy, I mean its real refreshing to hear Phonte & 9th together again. Those 2 are like Pete Rock & CL in the studio. No matter how many tracks CL did without Pete it was never the same unless they did it together. Phonte sounds the best when 9th is pitching him a classic. Elzhi does his thing as well and shout Big Pooh. Miss y’all man….

Until we read again….
