A dedicated news reporter from a local station in Washington, D.C. delivered live updates of Hurricane Irene from Ocean City, MD. The WTTG-TV news reporter, Tucker Barnes, was drenched in raw sewage and sea foam as he kept many affiliate stations updated across the country.

Tucker stood on the boardwalk at Ocean City as Hurricane Irene wreaked havoc throughout the east coast. He described the wall of debris that covered his body as some type of organic material that didn’t taste or smell great.  The substance is often a toxic mix of pollution like oils and decomposing animals, among other things.

Do you know any reporter to go beyond the limit to keep Americans updated like this? Tucker’s bravery deserves applaud as he disappeared knee-deep in the toxic foam to provide live updates of Hurricane Irene.
