The big shot right-winger Rush Limbaugh has once again proven himself to be a subtle racist. Yesterday when giving an explanation as to why First Lady Michelle Obama may have been booed at a NASCAR event he refered to her as being uppity.

Limbaugh started his rant initially making some arguably legitimate excuses as to why the NASCAR crowd booed Mrs. Obama. He said:
“We don’t like being told what to eat; we don’t like being told how much to exercise; we don’t like being told what we’ve got to drive; we don’t like wasting money; we don’t like our economy being bankrupted. We don’t like 14% unemployment. The question is, what the hell is there to cheer for when Ms. Obama and Ms. Biden show up?”
But as usual, the right-wing general took it much further and completely out of context saying Mrs. Obama’s behavior displays a bit of ‘uppty-ism’, he said:
“We don’t like paying millions of dollars for Mrs. Obama’s vacations. The NASCAR crowd doesn’t quite understand why when the husband and the wife are going to the same place, the first lady has to take her own Boeing 757 with family and kids and hangers-on four hours earlier than her husband, who will be on his 747. NASCAR people understand that’s a little bit of a waste. They understand it’s a little bit of uppity-ism.”
Is this something the crowd doesn’t understand, Mr. Limbaugh or is this just you finding another excuse to display your unwarranted hate for the First Lady? We are all familiar with the term uppity and it’s racist undertone. The term uppity is popular because of the “n” words that usually follows.

This isn’t the first time Limbaugh has attacked the First Lady. Earlier this year he made an attack regarding her weight saying:
The problem is, and dare I say this, it doesn’t look like Michelle Obama follows her own nutritionary, dietary advice. And then we hear that she’s out eating ribs at 1,500 calories a serving with 141 grams of fat per serving.
Limbaugh certainly draws popularity the more provocative he is. But it reaches a point where it is about respect. Limbaugh should keep in mind that Mrs. Obama is not a politician.
There is a certain level of respect that members on both sides of the political aisle give to our First Ladies regardless of the views they have about their husbands. Limbaugh crossed the line, what a shame!
