If you are the UK in a few weeks, be sure to check out British artist David Hockney’s solo exhibition of iPad art at the Royal Academy of Art.

STORY: Some Sights & Styles Found At 2011 Miami Art Basel

Titled David Hockney: A Bigger Picture, the show will surely delight viewers as some of the work on view is about landscapes created on the iPad.

Hockney isn’t the only artist who uses the device to make art.

GQ UK recently rounded up some of the best illustrators and iPad artists doing the damn thing. Included in their survey are self taught artists Kyle Lambert, whose Rihanna portrait is above, Matthew Watkins and Xoan Baltar.

“Baltar,” writes GQ, “is leading the way in the new technology, having helped develop the second incarnation of the popular Brushes app.”

Check out some of these artists’ work after the break and visit the RA website for info on Hockney’s show.
