The Brooklyn MC held a press conference earlier today at Carnegie Hall to announce that he will be headlining two hip-hop shows at the legendary theater.

The shows will run on February 6th at 8:00pm and February 7th at 9:30 pm.

The super exclusive show will be just that — super exclusive. Most tickets will be sold privately at super high prices. A select number of tickets will be held, so there can be a public sale which is expected to happen on January 30.

Even though no prices were announced they are expected to be close to what a usual Jay-Z concert goes for.

All proceeds of the show will go to The United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship.

The Shawn Carter Scholarship was founded in 2002 to help underprivileged children find a path to college. It was founded with his mother. At the press conference the Brooklyn rapper talked about the hands-on approach his mother would have.

“My mom would get on the bus and really tour colleges with students,” the Brooklyn rapper said.
