Pharrell continues to get the world’s attention with his gift of creating music.

Last year he worked with Hans Zimmer when he created the score for Universal’s animated 3D film, Despicable Me, and now he’s teaming up with the famed German composer once again, as a musical consultant for the upcoming 84th Academy Awards ceremony, airing on ABC on February 26th.

It will be the first time both musicians have worked on the awards broadcast, but they’re both highly qualified for the gig. Hans Zimmer won the best score Oscar in 1995 for his work on The Lion King and has received eight other nominations, most recently for 2010’s Inception.

Pharrell reigns high with the success of Despicable Me and has had his songs appear in films as Fast & Furious, The Brave One, Knocked Up, and Mean Girls.
