Last year when Mattel created Princess Genesis Barbie, a bald Barbie in honor of 4-year-old cancer patient Genesis Reyes, the company received a surge of comments asking to them to mass produce this kind of doll for consumers.

Today, tens of thousands of people have championed the campaign and now the urge is worldwide. But with no direct answer from Mattel, the question still lingers: will they actually do it?

The Beautiful and Bald Barbie Facebook page has close to 40,000 likes and is motivated by the idea that the bald Barbie doll would do a lot of good for little girls who deal with cancer, and other diseases, on a daily basis.

“We would like to see a Beautiful and Bald Barbie made to help young girls who suffer from hair loss due to cancer treatments, Alopecia or Trichotillomania. Also, for young girls who are having trouble coping with their mother’s hair loss from chemo. Many children have some difficulty accepting their mother, sister, aunt, grandparent or friend going from a long haired to a bald” the FB page says.

We support the bald Barbie doll 100 percent and hope Mattel decides to make one for little girls!
