After Hoboken, NJ mayor Dawn Zimmer said a Jersey Shore spinoff with Snooki and J-Woww couldn’t be filmed in their town because it posed a risk to public safety, the reality duo are striking back.
Snooki even called it “rude.”
“I wish she would have met us first and maybe talked about what the show was gonna be about before just being like, ‘You’re not allowed in Hoboken,’” the reality TV starlet, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, told the Associated Press.
“She was 24 once, she’s from Jersey, she was at the shore and she was doing the same exact thing we’re doing.”
J-Woww even took a shot at the mayor’s claims:
“The thing is we don’t go to a town to damage it. … We go to a town to help it out,” she said.
J-Woww’s ex-publicist still has some love for his ex-client. He chimed in saying, “For the mayor to say it’s a safety concern is totally bogus. If George Clooney was coming, she wouldn’t say no to that.”
