Over the past few days Israel has been on high alert and eager to take action against all threats.

The Israeli Defense Force reported that over 90 rockets have been fired at Israel from the Gaza region. Israel has responded by putting their military on high alert, patrolling the sky with aircraft and conducting air strikes which have resulted in at least 14 deaths.
CNN reports one of the deaths were of Hamas military leader Mahmoud Ahmad Al-Hanini and others were of member from the Popular Resistance Committees.

Israel spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said 4 Israelis have been injured in Southern Israel as a result of the attacks coming out of Gaza. He also attempted to justify the airstikes saying:
“The men targeted are part of the terror infrastructure used to execute attacks via the Sinai Peninsula, and the Israel-Egypt border, while violating Egyptian sovereignty.”
As we pray for a peaceful Middle East, we hope that this doesn’t escalate violence in the region.
