Complete terror!
Between Saturday night and earlier today, Chicago witnessed some extreme gun violence, resulting in the death of 5 people and the wounding of 12.

The earliest death, according to Chicago police officer Veejay Zala, was at 7:52 pm. The 21-year old man, whose name remains unidentified, was shot in East Chatman in the 800 block of East 79th Street, at Cottage Grove Avenue.
The man was shot in the back of his head and pronounced dead on the scene.
Another shooting occured around 1:50 am on the 5300 block of Loomis Boulevard resulted in 3 people being shot, leaving 1 person dead.
As reported by the Chicago Tribune:
A 36-year-old man was killed on the 7500 block of South Wolcott Avenue in the Gresham neighborhood about 1:20 a.m., police said.
A man in his 24-year-old man was found dead in a car at the University of Chicago Medical Center about 10:30 p.m., according to authorities.
*Earlier, a 24-year-old man was shot multiple times about 7:04 p.m. in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital and was in critical condition, Zala said. He later died, Alfaro said.
A man was shot on the 3300 block of West Evergreen Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood about 4:20 a.m., police said.
A 17-year-old man was shot in the face and back on the 500 block of East 67th Street in the West Woodlawn neighborhood about 2:15 a.m., police said.
Police said a 22-year-old man was wounded in a drive-by shooting in the West Woodlawn neighborhood about 1 a.m.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the groin in the Englewood neighborhood about 12:05 a.m. while he was sitting on a porch, police said.
The amount of lives affected due to these shootings is inexcusable. This is just another reason why our communities need to work harder to stop crime.
