Sometimes people just go way too far!

Last Friday, an employee at Chops & Hops restaurant in Watkinsville, Georgia posted a photo of a blue cheese steakburger on their Facebook page with the caption:

“Well we were going to do @TimTebow today but decided to trade for a sure thing this week. Instead @chrisbrown, @rihanna and us teamed up for a award winning celebrity sandwich. Put your hands on this caribbean black and bleu sandwich. Caribbean spiced marinated sliced ribeye blackened then look out for the bleu cheese, sliced tomato, silver Lamborghini onions, and shredded romaine. Chris Brown won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.”

Although the steakhouse has a history of naming sandwiches after celebrities, this was completely inappropriate and insensitive.

Fans commented and expressed their dismay over the status.

Early Saturday morning, Chops & Hops apologized and said that the sandwich was only a feature for that day and will never be on the menu.

The managers also said that they would donate six times the sales of the burger to Project Safe Team 6, a non-profit dedicated to fighting domestic violence.

However, the photo and the caption of the ‘Chris Brown/Rihanna‘ burger is still on their Facebook page today, two days after the apology status was posted.

We’re glad that the restaurant is donating money to a good cause, but please, try and market your products a bit more tastefully!
