Trayvon’s brother, Jahvaris Fulton, in an interview on CNN, reminds us of exactly what kind of kid his brother was. He shared his brother’s aspiration saying that Trayvon was “set on going to school.” Jahvaris then went on to say that his brother was “smart” and in “honors classes.”

Jahvaris then went on to talk about Zimmerman’s allegations of Trayvon saying:

“It didn’t sound like my brother at all. My brother attacked him and did all this stuff… it doesn’t sound like him at all. He wasn’t confrontational or violent.”

It’s been nearly two months since the tragic murder of 17-year old Trayvon Martin.

Fortunately, for the past few days, we have been seeing some signs of justice for Trayvon and his family, especially with the arrest of his murderer, George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman claims he murdered Trayvon on February 26th, 2012 in self-defense. Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch, pursued Trayvon against the advice of a 911 dispatcher. Once approached, Trayvon asked why he was being followed and the two engaged in a scuffle, resulting in Trayvon’s death after being shot in the chest.

After weeks of protests progress has been made, with the state of Florida finally charging Zimmerman with 2nd degree murder. Still, those who want justice for Trayvon are working relentlessly to make sure Zimmerman is held accountable.
