The always-thoughtful Beyonce Knowlespaid respect to Dennis Tillet, a young graduate of Morehouse College who was murdered this past July 4th.
The pop star recognized Tillet as one of her biggest fans and a loyal member to the Beyhive, as she sent her well wishes to his family, friends and loved ones.
She also included a beautiful collage of Tillet and his friends. Tillet’s life was taken in a random act of gun violence and unfortunately, he wasn’t the only young man to leave the world before his time this week.
A new Le Moyne College graduate, Matt Iverson, also died in Harlem, NY on July 4th, by way of a random gunshot.

MY HEART BREAKS TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF ONE OF MY BIGGEST FANS AND A LOYAL MEMBER OF THE BEYHIVE. DENNIS HERBERT TILLET WAS TAKEN IN A RANDOM ACT OF VIOLENCE ON JULY 4TH WHEN HE WAS SHOT AND KILLED BY A STRAY BULLET.
DENNIS WAS LOVED AND ADMIRED BY HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY. HE WAS FUNNY AND BRILLIANT, GRADUATING FROM THE PRESTIGIOUS MOREHOUSE COLLEGE. HIS BEAUTIFUL SMILE WILL BE MISSED AND THIS SHORT INSPIRED LIFE IS GONE TOO SOON. MY DEEPEST CONDOLENCES TO HIS FAMILY, MANY FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES.
