We’ve heard some crazy ideas when it comes to original design work, but Apple takes the cake!
In 2007, when Steve Jobs unveiled the original iPhone, nobody knew that the project had actually been in the works for over 20 years.
Back in 1985, Apple took a page from the Fisher Price handbook and made a phone that looked a lot like a toy, mainly because it was in the shape of an actual apple. We’re sure that conceptually it was a good idea, and in 1985, there wasn’t much consideration taken for the size of our phones.
Many of you would agree that Apple waited for the perfect time to actually release the iPhone. All we have now are pictures from the original patent. Take a look at the gallery above for the original drawings from the very first patent for the Apple iPhone back in 1985!
