Madonna hasn’t hit a stage in Australia in more than 20 years. And she still won’t head Down Under any time soon.

After announcing she would finally be performing in Australia, the “Material Girl” canceled the dates just last month. Instead of letting the snub go, the singer just released a video apologizing to her fans.

In the video, the singer said she had to cancel that portion of her world tour because she wants to spend some quality family time.

Madonna said:

“I have two scales I have to weigh in front me of me, my job as a singer and entertainer and my job as a mother. Because my children are older I can’t take them on the road with me everywhere. At the end of the year I really feel I would be an irresponsible parent if I didn’t stop my tour and spend time with them.”

Sorry, Australia, but you can’t be too mad at Madonna. Right, mates?
