While President Obama scored an unexpected and highly coveted endorsement from New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg yesterday, Mitt Romney landed a big surprising endorsement as well.

STORY: Nice Look! Obama Scores Endorsement From NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg

In a new video, The Simpsons‘ own Mr. Burns, a greedy, rich Republican, sees Romney as one of his own and announces his decision to support him.

The Simpsons character is confident that Romney will win the White House, except for one pesky fact about the multi-millionaire candidate:

“There’s only one thing that might deny us the presidency that is the God given property of the Republican Party,” says Burns. No, it’s not Romney’s infamous 47 percent comment, his Swiss bank account or his suspicious tax returns, “it’s a shaggy dog story about an actual shaggy dog,” explains Burns.

The mentioned shaggy dog is the Romney’s family pet Seamus, which Romney strapped to the roof of his car when he drove from Massachusetts to Ontario back in 1983. Seamus also makes an appearance in the show and gets to decide who he wants to endorse as president.
