Lindsay Lohan might be facing some hard time.

The Liz and Dick star will be charged with lying to cops! Back in June, after she slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler, LiLo told the police she wasn’t driving, but her assistant was. Turns out that might have been a lie, and now TMZ is reporting that she will be charged.
Law enforcement sources tell us … the case will be filed as a misdemeanor by the Santa Monica City Attorney … possibly this week.
The charge could spell huge trouble for Lindsay, because she’s currently on probation for the jewelry heist. The criminal filing could trigger a probation violation, and Judge Stephanie Sautner — the jewelry judge — could send her to the slammer for a long, long time.
To add fuel to the fire, cops found drugs in the car. A source claims prescription drugs were found scattered over the trunk and cops were going to charge Lindsay, however when her lawyer produced a prescription, they backed off.

When LiLo was rushed to the hospital following the incident, she was routinely interviewed by cops, telling police there was no way she was behind the wheel. After all her many run-ins with the law, Lindsay clearly hasn’t learned her lesson.
