On the heels of what would have been Aaliyah’s 34th birthday, Blackground Records drops a previously unreleased track that’s rumored to be featured on Aaliyah’s forthcoming posthumous album.
On a hypnotic, seductive ballad, Aaliyah strongly urges against the hate towards her man.
“Hey there you nasty boy/it’s been a minute/I’m not the same my life has changed, since you hit it,” sings Aaliyah.

There hasn’t been much talk about Drake’s involvement with the record since the summer, but it seems like the controversy surrounding his executive producer title has simmered a little.
