We were all blown away yesterday by Beyonce’s amazing rendition of the National Anthem at President Barack Obama’s inauguration.
However, right after the performance there were murmurs about whether or not Beyonce lip-synched or if she sang the song live.

According to the Washingtonian, Beyonce lip-synched the National Anthem.
The Washingtonian spoke to a spokesperson for the Marine Corps and he or she said this:
“All music [for inaugural ceremonies] is prerecorded as a matter of course, and that’s something we’ve done for years and years. The Marine Band did perform live throughout the ceremony but we received last-minute word that Beyoncé wanted to use the recording.”
Does this change anything about Beyonce’s performance to you? It doesn’t change much for us; Beyonce still sang the song, just not live.
