Kanye West is probably one of the most influential and respected artists across all genres in music. From Justin Timberlake to Karmin and other pop stars in between, Kanye West’s fifth studio album seems to have impacted the masses.
During a recent interview with Spin, Karen O gushed about how much she loves Kanye West and how his 2010 My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy influenced the Yeah Yeah Yeahs new album Mosquito.
“It’s so soulful, and I love soul. The vibe lifted me out of the mundane and took me somewhere else, man. And it stuck out like a sore thumb. It’s a work of art. It’s a record. It was a moment of clarity. His signal was crystal clear and we all got it. One of the last records that made me feel that way was Under Construction by Missy Elliott.”

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are currently readying the release of their forthcoming album, Mosquito, due out April 16.
