Ok, forget these parents, this guy wins the Worst Father of the Year award.
Hitler (yeah, we know) Baneo Nunez, 49, allegedly doused his son with gasoline and set him on fire after learning that the 22-year-old was gay and HIV-positive. His son also has tuberculosis.

The young man, only identified as R.B.P., suffered burns to his face, arms, and parts of his legs. Nunez apparently burned him alive because he was tired of the neighbors joking about his son’s sexuality.
Nuñez attacked Roberto because he “could not bear being a laughing stock after they learned his son had homosexual inclinations.”
Roberto told the press that his father was motivated as much by fear of his illness as homophobia.
“My dad wanted to kill me because of those illnesses, but my aunt took me out of my father’s house and took me to Iquitos to put me in the institution ‘Algo bello para Dios’ since March 1,” the victim is quoted in reports translated by The Huffington Post as saying. “Unfortunately, my father doesn’t accept me as I am.”
Since learning of the case, the local LGBT organization, the Comunidad Homosexual de la Región Loreto (CHERL), is hoping the local authorities will treat this case as a human rights abuse situation.
“We hope that this complaint … will be treated seriously by the authorities and that it can generate a change and call attention of the public to the homophobia that lives inside the home and is growing in society towards gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and trans people in the Loreto region.”
