Despite the recent death of a 2-year-old girl from Kentucky who was accidentally shot and killed by her 5-year-old brother, the National Rifle Association (NRA) have directed their consumers to purchasing guns for children. It has been reported that the NRA held their annual meeting and discussed selling weapons marketed for children and hosting a “Youth Day.” [Think Progress]

Senate is expected to vote on internet sales tax today. It has been reported that legislation would allow 45 states that currently charge sales taxes to require large online retailers to collect tax on purchases made by their residents. The law will largely impact companies that are web based only. Read more here.

In a discussion about recent changes in the age requirements to purchase Plan B with Nina Easton of Fortune Magazine, a Fox News commentator encourages others to disown the “stigma” against teen moms who decided to carry their children and then give them up for adoption in an attempt to decrease the abortion rate. An Iowa couple faced off with a 50-pound Labrador mix and won. Caren Henry was attacked by the dog and her husband, Laine Henry, came to her rescue. The dog bit Caren and her husband bit him back. Suffering the bites to her abdomen, right thigh, scratches on her eyes, and the loss of her nose, Caren and her husband are grateful to have thought on their feet so quickly. [Huffington Post
