It looks like he has a new love affair with bronzer. And he’s a bit chubbier. But O.J. Simpson was the same ol’ Juice Man, as he appeared in court for the first time since his 2008 robbery conviction.

Simpson appeared in his blue prison uniform to testify that his former attorney advised him he could use some force to reclaim personal items from sports memorabilia dealers…as long as he didn’t trespass.

If you remember, the bizarre 2008 robbery case landed Simpson in prison for nine to 33 years. He’s seeking to get that verdict overturned in the five-day hearing.

He took the stand in the Las Vegas courtroom – the first time we’ve heard his voice in five years – to insist that his attorney, Yale Galanter, didn’t adequately represent him.

According to CNN:

Simpson said he trusted Galanter’s advice on how to get the items back. The items, he believed, were stolen, and he wanted to give them to his children someday.

“The overall advice that he gave me is that you have a right to get your stuff. He gave me an example that if you’re walking the street and you see your laptop in a car, you can use force to break the window of the car,” Simpson told the court.

Man, O.J. stay in the middle of something!

We’ll keep you updated as the hearing progresses.
