A woman from Colorado lost her life this week after she accidentally shot herself in the head with a rifle that she was handling.
According to ABC Denver, witnesses told the network that Anastasia Adair was passing a AK-47-style assault rifle to her husband when the gun went off, killing her instantly.
A second shot went off when the rifle was dropped, but fortunately didn’t hit anyone.

According to the Denver Post, the incident occurred while the couple and three housemates were drinking beer in their garage. Toldness told the Denver Post that the shooting will be treated as an accident, but authorities will investigate how much alcohol was in the victim’s blood.
Reports say that the family purchased the rifle at a gun show back in March.
