Two people were fatally shot in Baltimore this past week, which included a one-year-old child.

According Baltimore Sun, the little boy was shot in the Cherry Hill neighborhood after a gunman opened fire on the car that the two victims were in.

The site reports:

The child was pronounced dead at 8:26 p.m. Friday, according to Baltimore Police Detective Angela Carter-Watson. The man was listed in critical condition and was being treated at an area hospital.

Carter-Watson said that “a person of interest” was being questioned by homicide detectives, but said that no one has been arrested.

Shortly after the shooting at 7:05 p.m., a large area spanning 1100 to 1700 Cherry Hill Road, as well as the 2700 block of Winchester St. was cordoned off while police combed the surrounding neighborhood searching for suspects. Carter-Watson said that a pursuit of some manner may have preceded the shooting.
