Last week, Bronx rapper French Montana released his long-awaited debut album, Excuse My French, and now the final numbers are in.

Despite French’s claims that his debut album was going to be the “best album of the decade,” unfortunately, his grandiose statement didn’t translate into album sales.

Excuse My French debuted at number four on the music charts, behind Daft Punk, who debuted at number one and Darius Rucker, aka Hootie of Hootie & The Blowfish.

Excuse My French was projected to sell about 45-50K, which was spot on, because French moved 56,000 copies.

Despite his mediocre numbers, it’s still an accomplishment to debut in the Top 10 of Billboard’s 200 chart.

Fans are still patiently waiting for French Montana to release the video for his collaborative song “Gifted” featuring The Weeknd.

Congrats French!
