An offense tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers has been stabbed during a robbery attempt earlier this morning.
According to the team’s official website, Mike Adams was taken to the hospital earlier today, and is in stable condition after being stabbed in the stomach by a man who was trying to rob him.
The team’s statement read:
“We are aware of the situation regarding Mike Adams being stabbed earlier this morning. We are in direct communication with both Mike and his family. Mike is expected to make a full recovery.”
Thankfully, Adams was well enough to tweet that he was in good spirits after the stabbing:

Fortunately, reports say that no vital organs were harmed during his injury, but we will still pray for a safe, quick recovery!
