CNN anchor Zoraida Sambolin, 47, who anchors CNN’s Early Start, updated viewers on her health status yesterday after being diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year.
Like Angelina Jolie, Zoraida decided to undergo a double mastectomy, which she had last week, and posted a few photos of her recovery to her Facebook page, including one with her fiancé, White Sox Executive Vice President Kenny Williams.
She told viewers in May that she felt able to share her illness after Angelina announced she underwent a double mastectomy as well.
Dozens of people took to Facebook and Twitter to congratulate Zoraida on her bravery and wish her well in her recovery.
