Wait…what?! Turns out the CIA doesn’t know who they are targeting and killing in drone strikes! According to NBC, about one of every four of those killed by drones in Pakistan between Sept. 3, 2010, and Oct. 30, 2011, were classified as “other militants,” the documents detail. The “other militants” label was used when the CIA could not determine the affiliation of those killed. Aw hell naw…[NBC]
Guess what the government is doing now? Collecting your phone records if you’re a Verizon customer. Yep, since April the National Security Agency has been collecting the telephone records of every Verizon customer in the US. In total, the NSA has gathered data from millions of Verizon customers, including for phone calls placed within the US and for calls made from the US to other countries. Ummm…[Gawker]
