Roc Nation rapper J. Cole held multiple listening sessions at various locations worldwide, but he personally held an intimate session at New York City’s SVA Theater.
Besides the hype surrounding Cole’s “Let Nas Down” track, the second most anticipated track on J. Cole’s album is his collaboration with Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar.
There’s been talk of a J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar collaborative album over the past year, but neither of the busy rappers have settled down to deliver a whole project, so for now, fans get “Forbidden Fruit.”
Sampling A Tribe Called Quest’s “Electric Relaxation,” J. Cole and Kendrick didn’t spare any bars.
“I’ma drop the album the same day as Kanye/ Just to show the boys the man now like Wanye,” raps J. Cole.
