Finally!
Details are emerging about Chris Rock’s newest film project, Finally Famous.
Rock decided to go behind the scenes and write his very own film, but that’s not all – he also plans to direct and star in it.
According to The Wrap, Finally Famous is a film about a recovering alcoholic and comedian-turned-actor who is looking to be taken seriously in Hollywood. Gabrielle Union has signed on to play Chris’ fiancee, who is using him to boost her own fame. Union’s character devises a plan to get Rock’s character, Andre, to tie the knot on national television, thus thrusting her into stardom.
Rosario Dawson will also be joining the film’s cast as a party-girl turned New York Magazine journalist who meets Andre to interview him. Comedian Kevin Hart will do a cameo in the film as Andre’s highly educated agent, who is in full support of Andre marrying his bride-to-be on camera. J.B. Smoove and Sherri Shepherd will also appear in the film.
But that’s not all Gabrielle Union has going on right now! The starlet stopped by E! News to promote her BET show Being Mary Jane and spill the beans on her relationship with Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, as well as her upcoming film Think Like A Man Too.
