Here we are again, it’s time for the Oscars!!! Every year, hopeful actors get dressed up in their best and gather for what they hope will be the night they will never forget!
My focus this year will be on two first timers, Sandra Bullock and Mo’Nique. These two woman have very different careers, but have many other things in common. While Sandra has been in the acting game for years, Mo’Nique (who started out as a comedienne) is just getting her feet wet. On the other hand, these two accepted challenging roles and knocked them both out of the ballpark. Sandra has been in hit movies like ‘Speed 1 & 2’, ‘Miss Congeniality 1 & 2’, and ‘The Proposal’ where we get to see her funny and whitty side, making her role in ‘The Blind Side’ something to talk about at the water cooler. Mo’Nique was no different, with her movie list including ‘Soul Plane’, ‘Two Can Play That Game’ and ‘Roscoe Jenkins’. When I saw her in ‘Precious’, she made me cry and then I said to myself, ‘She’s Going To Get An Oscar For This!’
Since we have to wait until Sunday to see who takes the gold home, who do you think will win?
