I believe we are ALL created in the image and likeness of GOD. I believe we are ALL GOD’s children and are loved deeply fully and unconditionally. As Jill Scott would say from ‘our hair follicles to our toenails’ … I also know that we are given free will to create our lives.
We create by our beliefs, thoughts, and words. Every thought we think, every word we say, paves the road ahead of us. If you BELIEVE your lucky, luck will follow. If you BELIEVE you’re beautiful, people will find you beautiful, if you say ‘I’m so clumsy’ all the time, you’ll be busting yo a** all the time ; ). I call it law of attraction.
One of the things I try to be aware of everyday are the things I say, whether its to myself or someone else. Because I know that when I complain I will only get MORE of whatever I’m complaining about. For instance, if someone is constantly saying, ‘I’m broke, I don’t have any money’ , they are now creating more of a future of being broke and never having enough’. You have to speak and TRY to start to believe that more money is coming (Even if that’s not your current reality).
Making a habit of saying things that LEAN in the direction of what you want like ‘my situation will only get better’, ‘this is only temporary’, ‘God always provides’. Or focusing on the other ‘wealth’ in your life like ‘I have my health’, ‘I have the love of my family’, ‘I have a warm bed to sleep in at night’. The more you focus on the wealth in your life, (and the less you focus on the LACK of wealth) the more you will attract wealth in, in all its forms. Its not always easy to be aware of the things that come out of your mouth. Its a discipline, a muscle, and the more you work at it the stronger you get. We are all a work in progress.
I find that somedays I’m good and others I’m downright awful. But I’ll never stop being aware of what thoughts I’m thinking and the words I’m saying because I know they are painting my future.
