Last night Rocawear and GQ held a private event at Provocateur in NYC. The event celebrated New York City Fashion Week and paid close attention to RocaWear’s new ad campaign starring Melanie Fiona and Trey Songz. With free flowing cocktails compliments of Hennessy, the selected attendees mingled throughout the intimate affair with tunes blarring from the speakers courtesy of Jay-Z‘s sister-in- law Solange Knowles. With appearances by Kanye West, who was dressed in an all black suit, adhering to the invites strict dress code of ‘All Black Everything’, model Jessica White, Serena Williams, Bun B, Selita E. Banks and other noted celebrities packed into booths to witness Melanie Fiona and Trey Songz serenade the crowd.
One of the nights highlights was when Trey Songz took to the stage and referenced Jay-Z’s growth with RocaWear and in fashion industry, recalling a time when the Brooklyn native rapper rocked ‘4X’ denim jackets in his ad campaigns. Highlight #2 happened when Trey Songz requested audience participation and poured Armand de Brignac (better known as Ace of Spades) down some womans throat! I SWEAR I’M NOT MAKING THIS UP!
