Katy Perry kicked off her ‘California Dreams’ world tour last night in Lisbon, Portugal performing a 20-song set for the sold-out crowd. Katy even reportedly performed a few covers including Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,’ which was the last song of the night.

The Portugal show is only the first of her nine month long tour, which travels across Europe, North America, Australia and Japan.
Katy’s entire stage was encased in sweet treats, with a candy cane staircase and multi-colored lollipops as her backdrop. She also tweeted that she is getting into the theme by eating fresh cotton candy as her pre-show ritual snack.
