After selling over 100 million records and spending nearly thirty years in the music industry, Janet Jackson revealed that she never really wanted to go into music. The pop star appeared on The View earlier this week and when asked about her music career, the singer/actress said that she had no plans of abanoning her music career, but wanted to expand her skills as an actress. Janet states in the interview:
“I’m just really living out a dream that I’ve had…I never really wanted to be in music. I’m not complaining because it’s been very good to me. But I did it because my father wanted me to.”
Now, If you think back Janet Jackson was an actress before she was a singer, but after her music career took off she never really had the opportunity to go back into acting. Janet says that some of her fans are upset about her not making music anymore, but I think that she deserves the chance to dream and do something she has always wanted to do.
