When have you heard a rapper spit so effortlessly to a beat? Joell Ortiz rag-tags that CNN ‘T.O.N.Y.’ beat. He also gets bonus points for reading a brand spankin’ new rhyme off his phone and making it sound as if he spit it off the top of his dome. Remember folks the man said he wrote it on his way to the show…and I believe him. DJ Enuff has seen the best of the best (was Biggie Smalls’ show DJ) and I’m sure he could vouch that Joell (another Brooklyn native! I swear I don’t just write about my hometown brothers) is at the top of the list for incredible MCs in the game right now. Take a moment to enjoy the magic of how J.O. kills the ’50 flow’, not 50 Cent’s way of rhyming, but the many ways the number 50 is mentioned. The dopest part about this whole thing is when he ends it with, ‘I like to rap.’ Glad you do it well sir.
