The year is halfway through and we have a candidate for producer of the year: his name is Vinylz and even though he’s still a rookie, the kid has shown that he can bang with the veterans.

Just check out his resume: he did Joe Budden’s “NBA,” French Montana’s “We Go Wherever We Want,” DJ Khalid’s “No New Friends,” Drake’s “5AM In Toronto” and Jay Z’s “F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit.”

Sheesh.

A couple of days ago, the kid stopped by and he talked about how he came up with the beats for some of his most notable cuts. He also dropped some cool new tidbits about making “5AM In Toronto” and “F*ckwithmeyouknowigotit.”

(Here’s one: that song was originally just for Rick Ross.)

Watch the exclusive interview above.
